WSET Level 3 Award in Wines is one of the world's most respected wine qualifications.
Designed for wine professionals and serious enthusiasts, it provides an in-depth understanding of how grape growing, winemaking and regional factors influence wine style and quality. Successful graduates receive an internationally recognised WSET certificate and lapel pin.
This course is intended for students who have successfully completed the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines or possess equivalent knowledge. As the programme is intensive, students should already be familiar with the main grape varieties, wine regions and tasting terminology.
Unlike introductory wine courses, WSET Level 3 focuses on understanding why wines taste the way they do. Students learn to connect climate, grape growing, winemaking and maturation techniques with the final wine style and quality, using the internationally recognised WSET Systematic Approach to Tasting (SAT).
